The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Myanmar is the old George, who was stationed there as an Imperial Police before becoming a writer. Later, the post-colonial era saw a military government keeping an iron grip on the nation - quite like old George had made-believe.
Exploring Yangon today, however, one finds a palpable feeling of optimism and an eagerness to reinstate ties to the rest of the world. The future has a leap to take, but the leap has begun - something that the artist has attempted to capture in these images. A nation in motion.
