You can Uber a puppy in Beijing tomorrow

Cuteness, delivered in a one-off marketing event for the taxi firm

Uber puppies-on-demand in Taipei
When we're standing out in the Beijing cold, desperately waving our frozen arm around and wondering whether we'll ever get home there's really only one thing that's going to cheer us up: a puppy.

So it's handy that cab ordering app Uber is offering just that tomorrow. For one day only, Uber users will be able to order up 15 minutes of puppy love to their home or workplace for just 50RMB.

The sometimes controversial company is bringing the promotion to Beijing to mark Beijing Cats & Dog Adoption's monthly adoption day drive: all the money paid for puppy time will go straight to the charity's coffers and they'll be able to provide wannabe adopters with all information they'll need to keep that puppy happy feeling long term.

To order your Uber puppy you'll need to get on the app this Thursday, the 18th, between noon and 6pm, select the puppy option and then confirm your request and location, just like you would when ordering an Uber cab.

Uber are also offering an extra promotion on the day. WeChat Moments and Weibo posts tagged #uberPUPPY will be entered into a prize draw to win 500RMB worth of Uber credit.

As part of our tireless research, Time Out Beijing will obviously be ordering puppies on the hour in order to fully test out this service. Check back here for pictures!
