Color Run '18 registration is now open

Who hasn't wanted to do a 5k while having paint lobbed at 'em?

The Color Run
Dig out your white clothing and find some trainers that you don't mind getting covered in paint – it's time to register for the Color Run! Wannabe technicolour-dreamboats should sign up ASAP though, as registration opens today and the event tends to sell out in a matter of days.

So, for the uninitiated, what is a Color Run? Basically, it's a 5km fun-run where participants have different colours chucked at 'em at special stations at every kilometre, so by the time that you've finished you look less like a jogger and more like a rejected Jackson Pollock piece.

The good folks who run the event claim that it's 'the happiest 5k on the planet' and we'd be inclined to agree. There's also a Foam Zone this year, where you can frolic in funky bubbles. Let's bubble!

This year's event is subtitled 'The Hero Tour', and event organisers reckon it's more of a party than a race, with no times being recorded and a Finish Festival (read: paint-chuck-a-thon) held at the end of the course. It's being held on 9 June in Beijing Garden Expo Park and costs either 228RMB or 288RMB, depending on what package of goodies you spring for.
