But get your hands on Lenovo’s ThinkPad Edge E420s and you can boast just that, thanks to summer blockbuster Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which features Brains, an Autobot that transforms into an E420s.Hollywood product placement aside, the ThinkPad’s design has come a long way since Lenovo took it over from IBM. It still has the trademark red dot tracking point, but gone is the plasticky feel. Instead, the laptop comes in a soft matte finish and the 14-inch high resolution display is covered with edge-to-edge glass for an ‘infinity’ effect. Its vital stats don’t disappoint either: the battery lasts up to seven hours, the second-generation Intel Core processor means programs run speedily and the device weighs a luggable 1.85kg.
