Along with Lush and Propaganda, 13 Club caters to the partying student market up in the Wu.
To call it a club is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. It’s more a live music venue than a club. There are dirty carpets on the floor and graffiti over the walls. The chairs are covered in plastic decorated with cigarette burns. It does seem to have an underground vibe to it, though. It’s more punk, rock and blues than hip hop, pop and R&B. It seems to take the term grunge to heart.
Don’t expect much from the bar. It’s limited to beers and spirits. It’ll do, but it’s not trying to cater to everyone’s tastes. There’s nothing pretentious about 13 Club. In fact, some might find it a refreshing change. This place is all about the music, and it’s usually quite loud!
