Given the quality of the dining experience at My Humble House, the name feels like false modesty. This smart restaurant relies on its smooth blend of Western fine dining with Southeast Asian and Chinese culinary traditions, filtered through a contemporary lens. Green bamboo flanks the restaurant, isolating a pond bathed in natural light. The food is equally gorgeous: Peranakan influences of coconut and spice swirl tempestuously in delicious laksa; more Chinese fare such as crispy Peking duck arrives perfectly. For Southeast Asian dining, there’s nowhere more refined.
