Alameda is the place to go for a bit of transcontinental travelling without having to brave the Airport Expressway. We love the layout and airiness of the glass-walled and glass-roofed dining rooms and the smart but minimal decor: very LA, very Sydney. Most of all though, we love the food.
It sells itself as Brazilian, but like the decor it’s really more of a globe-trotting fusion along the lines of Mediterranean-meets-Pacific. Sheer variety makes choosing difficult: mushroom and shiitake white wine risotto or pan-fried snapper with salsa verde? It’s tough.
