Fei Space, an open and airy 798 venue that used to be founder and creative director Lin Jing’s own home, is one of the most original and eclectic shops in town, with clothes, furniture and installations dotted around the space’s different areas.
Chopshop, on the left as you go in, is home to stunning and unique items such as Antik Batik sandals (1,170RMB) and Senada Theory dresses (3,480RMB), as well as select items by hard to find brands such as Bless, Stine Goya, Ato, 5Preview and Benoit Missolin, which aren’t available anywhere else on the Mainland.
Elsewhere, pieces from hyped Chinese designer Zhang Da’s simple but adventurous Boundless collection are also exclusive to Fei Space, including versatile dresses (790RMB) and tops (500RMB).
On the right, Lin Jing’s ‘Linstallation’ label is on display. Her distinctive tableware – with shapes inspired by the flow of water – includes pots (980-1,960RMB), ashtrays (380RMB), teacups and saucers (280RMB).
In the first room off the main space, Inretro brings together beautiful European furniture, glassware and lighting from the 1950s and 1970s.
A slouchy orange chair (13,800RMB) and a hanging lamp (6,500RMB) are stand-out pieces, alongside eclectic items that include an old bicycle satchel (1,800RMB), clothes hangers with original casing (800RMB) and pillows made of vintage curtain fabric (100RMB).
