Qiaobo Snow and Ice Park

The snowboard park in the Qiaobo Ice and Snow World Dome in Shunyi is a properly world class place for snowboarders.

The park, which is sponsored by Burton and produced by Nanshan’s Mellow Parks team, features four kickers (jumps), rails, boxes, a barrel combo and a wall ride. What really sets it apart is it’s size of the board park and the quality of the snow – there’s plenty of space to cruise around and the snow is soft enough that botched landings won’t necessarily mean broken limbs.

The kickers and boxes are great, too – on its opening last month, snowboarders were getting some real air and pulling some very nice tricks indeed.

The wall ride at the end of the slope is also a rarity in indoor slopes.
